Greater Manchester Scouts have launched The Working Bee Badge to support those affected by the Manchester Arena bomb. West Lancs Scouts are proud to support this initiative and encourage members to buy the badges and wear them on their uniform.
For over 200 years, the worker bee has been the symbol of Manchester. Cooperative, resilient, communitarian. Togetherness is still one of Manchester’s strengths.. All proceeds from the sale of the badge will be donated to the families of victims of the Manchester Arena Attack. Badges are minimum donation of £1 but all donations are welcome. Badges will be available from early June onwards and can be worn as an occasion badge by Beavers, Cubs and Scouts (on the left chest above the World Scout Badge). Please speak to Helen (Beavers), Laura (Cubs), or Mark (Scouts) after the half term holiday if you would like to contribute to this good cause.
